Jason Slack To Be Continued Brass Band

Jason Slack was the founder and driving force behind To Be Continued, currently the youngest and so far the last in the long tradition of New Orleans Brass Bands.

People who take Jason for a tuba player alone are mistaken. He’s a well rounded multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger too.

After the gig at Ray’s Boom Boom Room, we walked over to his car where he played me his latest piece, created entirely on a keyboard.

Rock ‘n Bowl New Orleans

Rock ‘n Bowl, which is located in the Mid-City district of New Orleans, is one of the city’s most unique venues. Located on a second floor, it’s a combination bowling alley and dance hall.

All kinds of music are played there, but every Thursday is Zydeco night.
